CSIR-CSMCRI Marine Algal Research Station at Mandapam has been the pioneer in developing and commercializing seaweed farming technologies in the country, which have provided impetus for social upliftment of coastal communities. As part of sponsored project from CSIR entitled “Potassic (K) fertilizer Technology to Empower Nation (K-TEN)” the field station would like to invite applications from young and dynamic candidates for the positions mentioned below to work on offshore cultivation of Kappaphycus seaweed.
Post : Project Assistants Level-II: 1 Posts
Qualification: M.Sc., Marine Biology/ Marine Botany/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology with minimum 55% marks.
Fellowship : Rs. 12,000/-(consolidated)
Job description : The selected candidate will work on establishing offshore seaweed cultivation farm, collecting growth data as well as water sampling.
Age limit : 28 years as on date of interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rule).
Project Assistants Level-I: 1 Posts
Qualification : B.Sc. Botany /Chemistry with minimum 55% marks
Fellowship : Rs. 8,000/-(consolidated)
Job description : The selected candidate will work for collection and analyzing seawater samples and physic-chemical parameters.
Age limit : 25 years as on date of interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rule).
Project duration: Till March, 2017.
