WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
ADVT NO.11-2014/JRF/DIAT(DU)
1. A Walk-in-Interview will be held at this Institute on 15 th December, 2014 at 10.00hrs. For selection of a suitable/eligible candidate for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the following projects:
A) DRDO sponsored Project Title “Development of optical probe based biosensor to detect biological agents using bifunctional nanomaterials.”
B) DST sponsored Project Title “Real-time biosensor nano-device for detection and identification of multiple pathogens”. The details/eligibility conditions for selection are given here-under:-
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 01 (One)
M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Biophotonics / Microbiology / Biotechnology /Biosciences/in the field of Life Sciences Or
M Tech in subjects mentioned above.
Candidate with experience in handling microbial cultures / Cell Culture and biochemical analysis will be desirable. Prior experience of working in the area of Nanobiotechnology will be added advantage.
NET/GATE qualified candidates will be given preference.
Not to exceed 28 Years (*)
Rs. 16,000/- per month (@)
The position is temporary and it is for a period of 03 Years OR co-terminus with the term
of the project, whichever is earlier.
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 01 (One)
M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Electrochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology /Biosciences/ in the field of Life Sciences Or
M Tech in subjects mentioned above.
Candidate with experience in handling microbial cultures / Cell Culture, biochemical analysis and electrochemistry will be desirable. Prior experience of working in the area of Nanobiotechnology will be added advantage.
NET/GATE qualified candidates will be given preference.

The position is temporary and it is for a period of 03 Years OR Co-terminus with the term
of the project, whichever is earlier.
Note-1 : (*) ‘The crucial date’ for determining the upper age-limit is 15 th Dec.2014 (i.e. on the date of Walk-inInterview/Selection Meeting’). Upper age-limit is relaxable up to 05 years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes, Women and PH and up to 03 years in case of candidates belonging to OBC).
Note-2 : (@) In addition to the monthly stipend payable, Medical facilities available at MI Room, DIAT and HRA, on production of Not Available Certificate (NAC) from Chairman, PHMC shall be admissible.
2. An ‘Aptitude Test’ for ascertaining the aptitude of the candidates for research will be conducted by an Expert Committee during the ‘Interview’.
4. Interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions for Junior Research Fellowship as mentioned in Para 1 above, may attend the ‘Walk-in-Interview’ at this Institute on 15 th December, 2014 at 1000 Hrs, along-with their original Certificates/Testimonials etc (together with a set of attested copies of each) for detailed scrutiny. Candidates working in Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should produce a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the present employer. No TA will be paid for attending the ‘Walk-in-Interview’.
5. It may please be noted that offer of Fellowship does not confer on the Fellows any right for absorption in DIAT (DU), Pune. It may be terminated at any time on one month’s notice.
