WALK-IN INTERVIEW

A walk-in Interview will be held at ICAR - National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR), Karnal (Haryana) – 132001, an institute under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), for selection of three positions of Research Associates as per details given below.

Name of the Scheme / Project: Center for Agricultural Bioinformatics.

Project Duration: Till 31st March 2017. The positions are co-terminus with the project.

Qualification and Experience

Essential: (i) Masters Degree (M.Sc./M.V.Sc.) in Animal Breeding/ Animal Genetics & Breeding/ Animal Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics with first class or 60 % marks or equivalent overall grade point average. (ii) Two years research experience as evidenced from fellowship / associateship /training / other engagements.

OR

Ph.D. in any of the above subjects.

Research Associate

Three posts

Date & Time of Interview: 10.30 A.M. on 30.01.2015 Desirable: (i) Experience of working on Molecular Biology lab /Bioinformatics analysis (ii) Published research papers in the relevant subject.

Emoluments: Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA for candidates with Ph.D. and Rs. 23000/- per month +HRA for candidates with Masters Degree. HRA will be paid as per ICAR norms.

Age Limit: 40 years for men, and 45 years for women.

Note: Age will be calculated as on the date of interview. Relaxation of age admissible for SC/ST & OBC candidates as per Govt. of India /ICAR rules.

1. The applicants must bring original documents and brief of research work done during post graduation along with a set of photcopy and latest two passport size photographs.
2. A panel of selected candidates will also be made which may be utilized for filling of positions of shorter durations in future if demand arises.
3. Experience certificate in original, if any

4. The above positions are purely on temporary basis and are coterminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
5. Any other clarifications can be had on the date of interview.
6. The Director’s decision will be final and binding on all respects.

Essential: (i) Masters Degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./MCA) in Bioinformatics /Computer Science / Computer Application.

Young Professionals II

Two positions

Date & Time of Interview: 10.30 A.M. on 30.01.2015

Desirable: Experience in Linux, Web-Site management, Apache, MySQL, Java, C++/ PHP/ PERL based application development in Bioinformatics.

Emoluments: Rs. 25000/- per month Consolidated

Age Limit: Minimum age 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

Note: Age will be calculated as on the date of interview. Relaxation of age admissible for SC/ST & OBC candidates as per Govt. of India /ICAR rules.

1. Candidates should bring his / her bio-data, original certificates supporting educational
qualifications and experience, photocopies of certificates, a latest passport size photograph at the time of interview.
2. Young Professionals II will be engaged for a period of 12 months, extendable to a maximum of another term based on needs of the organization and performance of the candidate. However, maximum duration will not be extended beyond two years.
3. A panel of selected candidates will also be made which may be utilized for filling of positions of shorter durations in future if demand arises.
4. The selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointement as the position is purely temporary.
5. No T.A. / D.A will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.

6. The Director’s decision will be final and binding on all aspects.
