National Workshop on Isolation, Characterization and Conservation of Endophytes and their Potential Applications in Agriculture and Allied Disciplines

MS The ICAR-NBAIM and NFCCI will be conducting a national level workshop at Agharkar Research Institute, Pune. The aim of the workshop is building capacity in key area of biology of endophytes having enormous potential for application in agriculture and other allied disciplines. Search for endophytes in hosts of unique ecological setting may help in recovering unique strain(s) which will help in understanding biology and diversity of our national heritage of endophytic microorganisms and their sustainable utilization.
One week intensive hands-on training would be provided by experienced and distinguished resource persons to 20 selected researchers (Ph.D./Post Doc Researchers/College and University Teachers/Ph.D. students).
Young researchers (aged not more than 40!) are encouraged to apply for the workshop. Applications duly endorsed by Head of the department/institution enclosing brief bio-data, and a brief write-up explaining relevance of the proposed workshop for the applicant’s future plan of research must reach The Coordinator, National Workshop, National Fungal Culture Collection of India, Agharkar Research Institute, GG Agarkar Road, Pune 411 004, MS, latest by 5 February 2015.
After scrutinizing the applications selected candidates will be intimated by 7 February 2015 to pay the workshop fee of Rs 3000. Selection will be solely at the discretion of the organizers and no further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
