Recruitment for the post of “Postdoctoral Fellow and Project Fellow” under funded project Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country. Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position on contract basis:

Project Fellow
Project “Elucidating the role of lipids in ion channel function”.
Funding Agency Wellcome Trust (UK) and Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India Project code 30715168
Minimum qualifications M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biology or equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks or Equivalent grade.
Preference Candidates having qualified and having valid CSIR/UGC NET / or GATE scores card with research experience in Organic Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biology
Fellowship Starting Rs. 12,000/- per month or Rs. 16,000 + 20% HRA based on academic qualification and valid NET score. (Fellowship is likely to be revised)

Tenure Initially for a period of one year which may be extended subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.

Post Doctoral Fellow

Minimum prescribed educational Qualification Ph.D in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biology or Equivalent degree/ grade.
Preference Preference will be given to candidates with Experience in electrophysiology / lipidomics / tissue culture / Synthetic Organic chemistry
Fellowship Consolidated emoluments of Rs. 40,000/- Per Month

Initially for one year but extendable for another two year subject to the continuation of project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent. Age: Not more than 35 years as on Last date of application.
