Walk in Interview for contractual positions of SRF/JRF/Project Assistants

The following contractual posts are to be filled under different DBT funded projects at NIHSAD, Bhopal. General guidelines of Contractual employment of Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India will be followed. PROJECT 1: ‘Deployment of nucleic acid and ELISA based diagnostic tests to determine incidence of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) in the North East and evaluation of the prospects of a potential candidate vaccine against the disease’ (DBT funded).

3 Duration Up to 30.11.2015 or end of project

4 Qualifications Essential degree: Either M.V.Sc (Microbiology/Biotechnology) or M.Sc. (Biotechnology/Microbiology).

Desirable: Knowledge and experience in production and handling of recombinant antigens, cloning and nucleotide sequencing and animal cell culture.

5 Emolument Rs. 28,000+20%HRA if the candidate has qualified NET and has 2 years of research experience. If not, the emoluments will be Rs. 14,000+20%HRA.

6 Age Limit 35 years for men and 40 years for women.

PROJECT 2: BBSRC-DBT funded project

3 Duration Approx Two years (02 years)

4 Qualifications Essential degree: M.V.Sc or M.Tech./M.Sc. (preferably with NET qualification) in one of following disciplines. (Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Genetics/Microbiology/Bioinformatics or equivalent Life Sciences discipline).

Desirable: Working Knowledge in the areas of Recombinant DNA Techniques, Cell Culture, Handling Laboratory Animals, Genomics.

5 Emolument Rs.16,000+20%HRA (differs for non NET qualified candidates)

6 Age Limit Up to 30 years, relaxable for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. Rules.

7 Nature of job Research in line of project work plan

4 Qualifications Essential Degree: First class M.Sc. /B.E/B.Tech. in one of the following disciplines (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Microbiology or equivalent Life Sciences discipline). 5 Nature of job To assist in research work

6 Duration Approx. 02 years (Two years)

7 Emolument Rs.8000/= Fixed 8 Age Limit Upto 28 years, relaxable for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt Rules

PROJECT 3: DBT-NER Center for Advanced Animal Diagnostics and Services on Animal Health and Diseases (ADSAHD)

3 Duration Approx 4 years

3 Qualifications Essential Degree: First class M.Sc. /B.V.Sc. and A.H., B.Tech. /B.E. in Life Sciences and related areas. Desirable: Exposure of working in research environment, Good command over written/type written/spoken English and computer applications.

4 Emoluments Rs. 8000 Fixed

5 Age Limit Up to 28 years, relaxable for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. Rules.

6 Nature of job Maintaining and managing documents/records pertaining to the project.

Interview Schedule: Walk-in-Interview will be held at NIHSAD, Kokta Road, Anand Nagar, Bhopal- 462022 (Tel: 0755-2750647) on the following dates and time: DBT twinning project on PRRS (Senior Research Fellow) Tentatively in 3rd week of May, 2015. Exact schedule will be notified/ displayed on Institute website.(www.nihsad.nic.in) BBSRC-DBT funded Project (Junior Research Fellow) DBT-NER ADSAHD/BBSRC (Project Assistants)  The candidates should be present at the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Bio-data (Two sets) in prescribed proforma along with the original certificates/documents including N.O.C from his/her employer should be presented at the time of interview. 

Terms & conditions:- 1. General DBT guidelines for Contractual Employment will be applicable. 2. Age relaxation will be admissible to SC/ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India rules. 3. All the candidates appearing for walk in interview should be present at venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time, candidates coming thereafter will not be allowed for interview. 4. Candidates failing to provide the necessary documents verifying their eligibility will not be allowed to appear for interview. 5. No objection certificate from employer should be produced at the time of interview in case he/she is employed elsewhere. 6. The engagement of SRF/JRF/Project Assistant will be on temporary basis and the selected candidates shall not have any right to claim for regular appointment under NIHSAD, Bhopal (M.P) and his/her engagement will be terminated immediately after expiry of the project without any notice and this Institute will hold no responsibility for payment of salary/regular appointment etc. after expiry/termination of the project. 7. Candidates selected will be employed initially for 3 months and the employment will be further extended for the duration of project based on their performance. 8. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview. 9. Experience certificate in original, if any, should be produced at the time of interview. 10. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidates. 11. The decision of the Director, NIHSAD, Bhopal will be final in selection. 12. Only those who are interested to serve at least for a period of one year considering present duration of project may attend the interview. For latest updates/notifications/addendums etc. in the above matter, the candidates are advised to keep in touch regularly with the Institute website. Candidates may have to appear in an on-spot written test before qualifying for interview.
