Walk-in-interview JRF Position in DAE-BRNS “Foxtail Millet” Project 

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in research project entitled “Improvement of Foxtail millet (Setaria italica) for yield and Blast resistance using mutagenesis” to be implemented at the Biotechnology Centre, Department of Agril. Botany, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola (MS).

Title of the Project : Improvement of Foxtail millet (Setaria italica) for yield and Blast resistance using mutagenesis 

Minimum Qualification : Master’s degree preferably in Agril. Biotechnology, Agril. Botany and Biotechnology 

Fellowship : As per DAE-BRNS norms (Rs 16,000 per monthfor first two years and on re-designation by Committee in 3rd year as SRF @ Rs. 18000/- pm) 

Date of Walk-in-interview : 10th July, 2015 (Friday) 

Walk in Interview for the above mentioned posts will be conducted at Biotechnology Centre, Department of Agril. Botany, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola (MS) 444 104 

Job description:To render assistance to PI and Co-PI for successful implementation of the project 

Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on date of Walk in interview (relaxationas per rules) 

Terms and conditions: 

1. No accommodations will be provided. 2. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview. 3. Candidate should bring original documents along with a set of attested copies of following: i) Date of birth, ii) Educational Qualifications, SSC and above Experience Certificate (If any) iv) Reprints of research papers published (if any),v) No objection certificate of the employer, if employed, vi) any other relevant documents related to interview 4. The time of reporting by candidates for the walk in interview is between10.00 hrs.to 11.00 hrs. Candidate, came after 11.00 hrs will not be considered. 5. The engagement will be on purely temporary on Adhoc basis and incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment under Dr. PDKV. Akola. 6. The term of engagement will be up to the end of project tenure. 7. The incumbents shall have to join assignment withinfifteen days from the date of issue of the order, failing which the order shall be treated as cancelled. 8. They shall have to produce all relevant certificates in original to theconcerned officer for the verification. 9. The incumbents so engaged, shall be liable for discontinuation by the University any time without any notice on account of unsatisfactory work or any other valid ground. 10. The incumbent shall have to give one month notice, failing which one month pay or a pay for the period for which such notice falls short will have to be deposited to the University. In the event they leave or resign the assignment before the expiry of tenure. 11. Other terms and conditions as per existing norms of the university/ICAR 12.
