International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB)
ICGEB, New Delhi, has more than two dozen independent groups working in three broad domains; Molecular Medicine, Plant Biology and Integrative Biology.
Applications are invited for positions of Group Leaders at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi Component, with experience in the following research areas.
1) Biology of vector born disease: Chikungunya virus genetics and vector-virus interactions, Small RNA biology of alphaviruses, Chikungunya and Dengue coinfections
2) Crop biology: Nutritional improvement of crops, Herbicide resistance, Application of genome editing
Applicants must have a sound record of research and publications in above cited area/s with ability and commitment to build a dynamic research program. Candidate/s must have significant accomplishments that commensurate with their career stage and should have the ability to compete for extramural funding. Candidate/s will be expected to initiate their own research programs, guide Ph.D. students and participate actively in teaching Ph.D. level courses as well as post-Ph. D. level training programmes.
