WALK IN INTERVIEW

Eligible candidates may attend a Walk-in-interview to be held for selection of Senior Research Fellow (One post) and Skilled worker (One post) on contractual/ad hoc basis under the ICAR funded project on “Investigation on sooty blotch fly speck complex in mango and pathological status of Pyricularia species in banana and devising management strategies” on 27-01-2017 at 10.00 AM at our Station. Place: Central Horticultural Experiment Station (ICAR-IIHR), Opposite Alu godam, NH5, Aiginia, Bhubaneswar-751019, Odisha.

Name and duration of the project: ICAR funded project on “Investigation on sooty blotch fly speck complex in mango and pathological status of Pyricularia species in banana and devising management strategies” till March 2017.

1. Senior Research Fellow (one post).

Nature of work: Laboratory and field works in and adjoining states of Odisha.

Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/-p.m. + 20% HRA for 1^st and 2^nd year, Rs. 28,000/-p.m. + 20% HRA from 3^rd year onwards as per ICAR guide lines and extended project period, if any.

Essential: MSc (Agri.) in Plant Pathology/ Applied Microbiology/Plant Biotechnology with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree

OR

Master Degree in Biotechnology with 4/5years of Bachelors degree preferably specialized in Plant Biotechnology in Master’s degree

OR

Master’s degree in Basic Sciences (Microbiology/ Botany/Zoology/Biotechnology) having 3 years Bachelors degree and 2 years Masters degree should have qualified NET (As regard to NET examination, any national level examination conducted by the Central Government Departments / agencies for admission to Ph.D. programme are considered as NET).

Desirable: One year experience in Horticulture/Agriculture related projects and working knowledge in computer and traditional and molecular mycology.

2. Skilled Worker (one post) to work for the aforesaid project and for duration mentioned.

Nature of work: Laboratory and field related work.

Remuneration: Rs.10,000/-p.m (consolidated pay).

Qualification: Essential: Graduation in any science discipline. Desirable: One year of field experience in Horticulture/ Agriculture related projects.

For both posts initial screening test may be conducted based on the situation.

Other terms and conditions

· Age limit: Date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date/date of walk-in interview. SRF: 35 years for men & 40 years for women. Skilled worker: 21 to 40 years. (Relaxable in the case of SC/ST, OBC and other exempted categories of candidates to the extent permissible under Rules).

· The period and duration of the scheme is tentative and the same may change. The above positions are purely temporary, co-terminus with the project and subject to the terms and conditions of the engagement.

· Candidates willing to attend the Walk-in-Interview should neatly type the application in the format prescribed in MS-WORD – Times New Roman Font – 12 size and submit the same along with self attested copies of documents/certificates confirming educational qualifications, Date of Birth/Caste /experience in original and two recent passport size photographs along with them for verification.

· No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

· Canvassing in any form would lead to disqualification.
