Walk-in-Interview for The Positions of SRFs /JRFs / Project Assistants
Applications are invited for Six (06) temporary positions, (Three JRF/SRF and Three Project
Assistants) under the below mentioned DBT funded research projects at ICAR-NIHSAD, Bhopal.
Eligible candidates fulfilling the following requirements may attend the Walk-in-Interview on 28th April
2017 for JRF/SRF and 29th April 2017 for Project Assistants at 10.00 am at ICAR-NIHSAD, Anand
Nagar, Bhopal-462022. The candidates may send an advanced copy of applications in format given below

PROJECT 1: DBT funded North Eastern Region Biotechnology Program titled “Advanced Animal
Disease Diagnosis and Management Consortia (DBT-NER-ADMaC)”.
Project 2: DBT-Twinning project titled “Viral Metagenomic profiling of native and migratory aquatic
birds of Northeastern states to unravel influenza virus ecology harbored in them”.
3: BBSRC-DBT sponsored Indo-UK Collaborative project with Roslin Institute, University of
Edinburgh, UK, titled "Identification of molecular basis of differential host response to rapidly evolving
avian influenza viruses in different avian species".
A No. of position Three (03) (One each under DBT-NER-ADMaC Project, DBT Twinning
Project and Indo-UK, BBSRC-DBT Project).
B Qualifications Essential Degree
M.V.Sc/M.Tech/M.Sc in one of the following disciplines.
(Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Genetics /Microbiology/Bioinformatics or
any other Life Science discipline)
For candidates with Post graduate degree in basic science, NET
qualification (UGC/ICAR/ICMR/CSIR) or equivalent is essential for
consideration of candidature as SRF.
Desirable: The candidates should have strong background in handling tools of
molecular biology, virology, cell culture, lab animal experiments with basic
knowledge of infectious diseases diagnosis, host-pathogen interactions and
bio-informatics.
Note: Previous research experience only as JRF/SRF/RA for atleast 2
years will be considered for employment as SRF. Others with less than 2
years of experience will be considered for JRF only.
C Duration Approx. 02 years under DBT-NER ADMaC Project.
Approx. 06 months, extendable to 01 year under DBT-Twinning Project.
Approx. 03 months, extendable to 09 months under Indo-UK, BBSRC-DBT
Project.
D Emoluments For JRF: Rs.25,000+20%HRA For candidates with Graduate Degree in professional
course or Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET (UGC, CSIR, ICAR,
ICMR) qualification. Without NET the emoluments will be Rs. 12000+20%HRA.
For SRF: Rs.28, 000+20%HRA.
(The emoluments will be as per the DBT guidelines)
E Age Limit Max. 35 years for men and 40 years for women, relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as
per Govt. Rules.

B Qualifications Essential Degree: First class M.Sc/B.V.Sc and AH/B.E/B.Tech in one of the
following disciplines (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Microbiology or
equivalent Life Sciences discipline)
Desirable: Exposure of working in research environment, Good command
over written/spoken English and Computer applications.
C Duration Approx. 02 years.
D Emoluments Rs. 8000/- PM Fixed
E Age Limit Max. 28 years, relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. Rules.
