Walk-In-Interview for the post Research Assistant (RA) [01 post] at the Agricultural Microbiology Section, VSI to be held on 13th June 2017 at 11.00 a.m. Name of the Post: RESEARCH ASSISTANT - [01 post] Department/ Section: Agricultural Microbiology Section Compen- sation (per month) Rs.12,000/- per month. The post is on contractual basis for a period of 11 months only. Starting Emolument: Approximate Rs. 1,44,000/- per annum Job Profile:Research project on “Isolation, identification and screening of efficient strains of weed pathogens and development of its consortium of toxins as a Bioweedicide for controlling weeds in sugarcane”. Candidate Profile:Walk in Interview is called for - • Young dynamic candidate, having Masters degree in Microbiology (M.Sc. Microbiology) having good knowledge of microbial techniques. • Should work on laboratory scale, pot scale and field scale research on sugarcane weeds. • Good knowledge of technical assistance in actual protocol of all R&D, laboratory, should handle X ray crystallography, NMR, Gel electrophoresis, HPLC, protein purification system and field related studies. • Toxicological studies of Bioweedicide, statistical data analysis, preparation of Research reports etc. • Experience in relevant field will be appreciated. Qualification:M. Sc. in Microbiology. Experience:  Minimum 1 year and maximum 3 years experience in R& D in Microbiology especially related to laboratory and field research in sugarcane, weeds, bioweedicide and toxicological studies will be appreciated.
