NRCP Plant Pathology/Nematology RA/SRF Walk INs

The Director, ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate (ICAR), Solapur, Maharashtra proposes to fill up following temporary and time bound vacant position under the project detailed below on the basis of WALK IN INTERVIEW which may be extendable further depending on availability of fund and satisfactory performance of the candidate. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. All desirous and eligible candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the selection committee for personal interview at ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur on 22.11.2017 on 10.00 AM. Candidate reporting after 11.30 AM will not be allowed to appear in the interview. 

1. Project Name: Horticultural Crop Pest Surveillance and Advisory Project (HORTSAP) a collaborative programme with State Agriculture Department, Maharashtra for a period of six months from the date of appointment, which can be extended further. 

1. Research Associate (One Post) 

Rs. 38000/- + HRA/month 

35 yrs 

M.Sc. (Agri.) in Plant Pathology/ Plant Protection/ Entomology/ Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology (4 years degree in agriculture) M.Sc. (Agri.)/ Ph. D in Plant Pathology/ Plant Protection/ Entomology and working knowledge in computer application. 

Good Communication and writing skills. Preference will be given for experience in similar project. Spoken and Written knowledge in English / Marathi, Data Collection, Compilation and analysis. Preparation of documents on computer. 

2. Project Name: Evaluation of MCW-2 (2% GR) against Root Knot Nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) in Pomegranate. 

1. Senior Research Fellow (1 Post) 

Rs. 25000/- + HRA/month for 1st and 2nd year. Rs. 28000/- + HRA/month for 3rd year. 

35 yrs for Men and 40 yrs for women 

M.Sc. in Nematology/ Plant Pathology/ Entomology/ Zoology/ Life Science with specialization in Nematology/ Agricultural Entomology/ Plant pathology or equivalent degree in relevant field from recognized university/ institutes with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point, with at least two years of research experience in relevant field. 

Relevant research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associate ship/ Training/ Other engagements. Computer application. 

Good Communication and writing skills. Spoken and Written knowledge of English and Hindi. Handling of Nematodes/ Insects/ Pathogens and experience in Conducting and monitoring of nematicidal experiments, Data Collection, Compilation and statistical analysis, Preparation of documents on computer.
