A walk-in interview will be held on 29th March, 2018 from 10.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m for the following
temporary posts in SERB and DBT-funded projects:
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project fellow (x1) in SERB-funded project entitled,
“Identification and Validation of proteins Interacting with PpDNMT2 Under Stress in Physcomitrella
patens”.
Essential Qualification: Throughout first class with Masters in any field of Biological/Life Sciences.
Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Plant Molecular Biology and Plant Tissue Culture
and NET-LS qualified.
Salary: As per SERB norms.
Duration: Up to 20th March, 2020
2. Research Associate (RA) (x1) and Laboratory attendant (x1) in DBT-funded project entitled,
“Functional Delineation of a Cytosine DNA Methyltransferase (DNMT2) and determining its Role in
Salt and Osmotic Stress Tolerance Using Physcomitrella system’ as per details mentioned below:
Position: Research Associate
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and
design and development experience after M.Tech. (Biotechnology or any field of biological sciences)
with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable qualifications: Experience/Ph.D. in Plant tissue culture/Plant Molecular biology
Duration: Up to 31st December, 2021
Remuneration: Rs. 40,000+30% HRA p.m.
Position: Laboratory attendant
Essential Qualifications: Senior secondary with science and at least 55% marks from a recognized
board or equivalent.
Desirable qualifications: Experience of having managed a science laboratory and/or green house
facility.
Duration: Up to 31st December, 2021
Remuneration: Rs.14000 p.m consolidated
Please note: The above posts are purely contractual and will co-terminate with the projects or earlier
if progress of the candidates is not found satisfactory.
