Applications are invited for the seven posts of Scientist-B (Medical/Non-Medical) in the Pay Level 10 of Rs. 56100-177500 plus usual allowances as per Rules at the ICMR-National Institute of Malaria Research, Sector-8, Dwarka, New Delhi-l10077 up to 28.03.2018.

3. Post: Scientist 'B' (Publication) - (UR-01)

Essential Qualification:

1 st class Master's Degree in Life sciences from a recognized University

OR

2nd class Master's Degree + PhD in Life Sciences from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualifications:

I. Doctorate Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University.

II. Additional Post-doctoral research/teaching experience in Life Sciences in recognized institute(s).

III. Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/ Data Management.

IV. Two years R&D/Teaching experience in Life sciences after obtaining essential qualification.

V. Experience in editing of scientific journals/publications.

VI. Work experience in insect model systems( especially in dipterans), their life cycle, behavior, physiology and vector borne diseases.

VII. Diploma or other professional certification in Publication, published papers etc.

VIII. Good command over English language; knowledge of peer-review system, print and production, computer applications etc.

Work Responsibilities

Control and coordination of publishing activities of the Institute, including screening and assignment of manuscripts to reviewers, technical editing of accepted manuscripts to be published in Journal of Vector Borne Diseases, compilation and editing of annual reports, IEC material and other publications of the Institute etc.

s. Scientist-B (Vector Biology); Posts: 02 (UR-01, OBC-01)

Essential Qualifications: 1st class Master's degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University.

OR

Second class Master's degree + PhD Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualifications:

I. Doctorate in Life sciences Sciences from a recognized University.

II. Additional research/teaching experience in vector borne diseases III recognized institute(s).

III. Knowledge of Computer Applications or analysis tools and data management.

IV. Two years R&D/Teaching experience in vector biology and control after obtaining essential qualification.

Note: The selected candidates are likely to be posted at one of the NIMR field Units anywhere in India. The post also carries all India transfer liability.

6. Scientist-B (Parasite Biology); Post: 01 (UR)

Essential Qualifications: 151 class Master's degree III Life Sciences from a recognized University.

OR

Second class Master's degree + PhD Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualifications:

I. Doctorate in Life Sciences from a recognized University.

II. Additional research/teaching experience in Parasitology and vector borne diseases from recognized institute(s).

III. Knowledge of Computer Applications and analytical tools/ Data Management.

IV. Two years R&D/Teaching expenence III parasite biology after obtaining essential qualification.
