Walk In Interview (Adv. No.1 /2018) 

Applications are invited from interested individuals for the post of Junior Research Fellow in the DST funded research project entitled "Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase mediated lactoferrin iron uptake by Mycobacterium tuberculosis” in the Department of Biotechnology, NIPER, SAS Nagar. Details of the post are as mentioned below: 

Rs. 25000/- + HRA as per rules

Essential qualifications: M.Sc in Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ OR M.S (Pharm) /M.Pharm/ M.Tech in Biotechnology. 

Desirable: Hands on experience in Recombinant DNA techniques and Microbiology, Protein expression and protein chemistry. 

Minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50 % marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination. GATE/ GPAT/NET qualification is essential. Reservation of SC/ST and PH is as per GOI rules. Age Limit: 28 years (may be relaxed depending upon the suitability of qualification & experience & Relaxation for SC/ST/PH/OBC as per GOI rules). The post is contractual in nature, does not have right to permanency. The above position is purely temporary initially for one year extendable for a period of one year based on the satisfaction of the PI (GP-423). 

Walk in Interview will be held on 25 th April 2018 at 3:00PM till 4:30 noon in the office of HOD, Department of Biotechnology, NIPER. Candidates should report at the venue by 2:15 PM, and bring three copies of the application giving details of educational qualifications, experience with name of the Institute, post held, scale of pay and past salary. 

Application should be accompanied by demand draft for Rs. 100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PH) in favour of "Director NIPER", drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Mohali/ Chandigarh. . No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
