BHU Botany/Environmental Biotech JRF Vacancy


Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research fellow (JRF) in a Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Mumbai, sponsored research project entitled “Analysis of biochemical and molecular changes of rice plants in response to arsenic under the impact of thiourea application” (Project No. P-29/98). The sanctioned duration of the project is three years. The post is temporary and is co-terminus with the project. 

Essential Qualifications: The candidate should have M.Sc. degree in Environmental Science/ Botany / Environmental Biotechnology/ Biotechnology, with at least 55% marks and have qualified NET/GATE. 

The upper age limit is 28 years, which is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. The fellowship for JRF is 25000/- pm + 20% HRA. 

Desirable qualifications: One year research experience.
