Educational Qualifications: M.Sc in Life Science from a reputed University/institute at least with two years of hands-on research experience in area of human infectious diseases and molecular immunology. The candidates should also have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’ as per DST OM dated 21.10.2014 

Emoluments: Rs. 28,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (as per DST OM dated 21.10.2014) 

Job description & Desired Knowledge: My laboratory employs a multidisciplinary approach to address questions in the area of microbial interface biology and associated host immune response to the human pathogen Streptococcus pneumoniae. We are interested in host-pathogen interaction, infection and immunity, and vaccine development. We are particularly interested in the molecular biology of B cells and developing a molecular understanding of how glycoconjugate vaccines work. We combine immunological, molecular and proteomics approaches within vitro and animal models for these studies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background and bench-level experience in molecular immunology and human infectious diseases, and demonstrated expertise in working with animal models of human infectious diseases. Prior experience of working in a biosafety level 3 laboratory is necessary.
