Applications are invited for the purely project based positions on temporary basis. Candidates having appropriate qualifications in relevant Subject/Specialization with consistently good academic record and experience may apply as mentioned below. 

1. Senior Project Fellow (SPF) (01) 

First Class in M.Sc. with Botany/Forestry/Biotechnology and two years research experience 

Preference will be given to the candidate having at least two years research experience on Biotechnological Applications, Biodiversity Conservation, documentation skills and computer knowledge. 

HPPCL funded project “Population Assessment, Standardization of Propagation Protocols and Establishment (ex situ & in situ) of Selected Species as a Part of Biodiversity Conservation Plan under Sainj Hydro-Electric Project in Himachal Pradesh” (PI: Dr. S. S. Samant) 

2. Senior Project Fellow (SPF) (01) 

First Class in M.Sc. with Microbiology/Botany/Forestry /Biotechnology and two years research experience 

Preference will be given to the candidate having at least two years research experience on Microbiology, Biodiversity Conservation, documentation skills and computer knowledge. 

NMHS funded Project “Microbial Endophytes and Soil Enzymes as Indicators of Climate Resilience with Respect to Himalayan Birch: A Critically Endangered Timber Line Species” (P.I.: Dr. S. S. Samant) 

3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Junior Project Fellow (JPF) (01) 

First Class in M.Sc. with Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science 

Preference will be given to the candidate with research experience on Biodiversity Conservation, documentation skills and computer knowledge.

5. Junior Project Fellow/ Junior Research Fellow (JPF/JRF) (01) 

First class Master Degree in Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science 

Preference will be given to the candidate having work experience in biodiversity conservation. Mountain division project: ‘Assessment and valuation of sub-alpine and alpine ecosystems in relation to climate change” (P.I.: Dr. S. S. Samant)

Candidates may appear for Walk-in-Interview on July 25, 2018, 11 AM at G. B. National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development, Himachal Regional Centre, Mohal – Kullu - 175 126, Himachal Pradesh. The candidates are required to bring along all certificates, testimonials, publication, etc. in original at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
