Job Summary
We are looking for One Project Associate interested in working on a fully funded research project on ‘Probiotic Development’ in Applied and Industrial Biotechnology Laboratory, located at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Hosur Road campus, Bangalore. This position is for two years with a possibility for extension for further two years.
Responsibilities and Duties
Selected candidate is expected to carry -
•Screening and isolation of potential probiotic strains
•Flask scale experiments to establish and optimize the culture conditions using DOE
•Fermentation experiments
•Compilation and analysis of experimental data in order to develop, optimize and monitor process performance
•Data acquisition and providing clearly documented records of technical data, decisions, methodologies, calculations
•Generating documents including experimental protocols, technology development reports, technology transfer protocols, SOPs and process batch records
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
•MSc (Microbiology/Biotechnology/Food and Nutrition) with minimum 1 year of experience of working on relevant research project
•Must possess fundamental knowledge of microbial metabolism, physiology, biochemistry and fermentation technology
•Broad experience and understanding of different analytical methodologies and technologies for process characterization is required
