Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow in a DBT funded research project on "Characterization of the role of Nucleophosmin and other selected host proteins identified from differential proteomics in Chikungunya virus infection" in the laboratory of Dr. E Sreekumar in Molecular Virology Laboratory at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
Essential Qualifications
First Class Master's Degree in any branch of Life Sciences with a valid GATE/ NET qualification (CSIR/UGC/DBT etc.) or a Master's Degree in Medical/ Veterinary sciences.
Desirable Qualifications
Research experience in animal cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
Age
Below 28 years as on 17th September, 2018
Emoluments
25,000 + 20% HRA per month for Post Graduates Degree holders who have qualified NET (with valid certificate) or Post Graduates in Professional Degree courses and pocess (28,000 + 20% HRA for candidates with two years of documented research experience). M.Sc. degree holders who do not have NET/GATE certification will be eligible for 14,000/- + 20% HRA per month.
Duration
One year or till termination of the project whichever is earlier.
Selection Process
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format with a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of Marks obtained and attested photocopies of credentials & experience to reach the undersigned on or before 17th September, 2018. Envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title of the project, advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
