Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs on Friday presented the interim budget for 2019-20.
Rs 93,847.64 crore for the education sector (10% increase compared to 2018 budget).
Out of the total allocation for 2019-20,
Rs 56,386.63 crore has been allocated for school education (60%), while the rest
Rs 37,461.01 crore for higher education (only 40%).
Means less for Higher education.
