Applications on plain paper are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Project Fellow, purely on
temporary basis, in a Research Project funded as part of KSCSTE- Emeritus Scientist Scheme, which is
being operated in the Dept. of Botany, University of Kerala at Kariavattom.
Title of the Project: Establishment of a Field Gene Bank of primary gene pool of Piper nigrum ( Black
Pepper) occurring in Kerala and screening of selected genotypes against Phytophthora foot-rot.
Duration of the Project : Up to 3rd Jan. 2022 ( approx. 3 years)
Qualification : First Class M.Sc. in Botany/ Genetics and Plant breeding /
Microbiology/ Plant Pathology
Desirable : JRF-NET Qualification
Upper age limit : 35 years as on 20-2-2019 (SC/ ST candidates will be eligible
for relaxation in upper age limit, for three years)
Remuneration : Rs. 22,000/ per month
