UIC-TNAU acts as a pre-incubation centre to foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills among young Graduates / Post Graduates and Post Doctoral researchers. The fellowships are highly competitive and exceptionally motivated researchers who have an eye for innovation and drive for start-ups in the Biotechnology sector would be selected for the fellowships.
UIC-TNAU has the following focus areas under which the BIRAC Innovation Fellows will be selected. The qualification and eligibility are mentioned below.

Eligibility: Candidates who have completed B. Tech / Integrated B. Tech-M. Tech / M. Sc / M. Tech in life science disciplines on or after 01.01.2015. Students pursuing Ph. D cannot be considered for UIC fellowship. UIC fellows need to be full time on the fellowship.
Desirable: Background research related to the proposed project, experience related to product development / industrial research

Post Doctoral:
Eligibility: Candidates who have completed their Ph. D programme / submitted thesis in life science disciplines on or after 01.01.2015. UIC fellows need to be full time on the fellowship.
Desirable: Ph. D research related to the proposed project, experience related to product development / industrial research

Eligible candidates can download application from bottom of this page. Filled in application form should be submitted both by soft copy via email to directorcpmb@tnau.ac.in and hard copy via post/courier to Director, Centre for Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore - 641 003 before 5.00 PM on 31st August, 2019. Applications will be reviewed and selected applicants will be called for project presentation and personal interview for final selection of the BIRAC Innovation Fellow. Only applicants who are selected for interview will be intimated through their respective email id.
Application should be submitted both by soft copy via email to directorcpmb@tnau.ac.in and hard copy via post/courier and no other means of communication shall be entertained.
Mere fulfilling the eligibility criterion does not entitle applicants to be called for
nterview.
Orientation workshop shall be conducted on 19th August 2019 at Centre for Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore - 641 003 for interested candidates on applying for the fellowship positions.
Interested candidates for the workshop may request through sending an email touictnau@tnau.ac.in on or before 09th August, 2019.
