It is proposed to fill three (03) contractual positions of Junior Research Fellows / Senior Research
Fellows and two (02) contractual positions of Young Professionals – I at ICAR - IIVR, Varanasi
through walk in interview / examination etc. The eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling the
requirements may appear before the Selection Committee for interview etc. on 30th September 2019
at 10.00 A.M. at ICAR - IIVR, Varanasi:

Essential : M. Sc. (Ag.) Vegetable Science or
M. Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture with specialization in
Vegetable Crops or M. Sc. (Ag.) Genetics and
Plant Breeding / Agronomy.
With 4/5 years Bachelor’s degree or candidates
having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences
with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years
master’s degree should have NET qualification.
1. All position will be default JRF when
fresh recruits are employed with no post
degree research experience of 02 years.
2. Candidate with 02 years of research
experience in the areas of essential
qualification will be appointed in SRF
scale.
3. Ph. D. qualification shall be considered
as research experience, if it is in the same
area as master degree.
Desirable : Working experience in
PPV&FRA/DUS related project.
