Institute invites applications from Indian nationals having excellent academic record and
relevant work experience for the following position purely on temporary and contractual
basis under the funded project:
Research Associate
Project “Dispersal evolution in laboratory populations of
Drosophila melanogaster under low nutrition conditions”

Minimum educational
Qualification
Ph. D in Biological Sciences.
Candidates should have experience in dealing with
Drosophila as a model system in an evolutionary biology
context during their Ph.D. they also must possess excellent
knowledge of evolutionary theory and extensive
experience of statistics and data analysis
Preference Candidates having experience and well versed in at least
one computer language and capability of writing code for
conducting evolutionary simulations will be preferred.
Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of one year which may be extended
subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory
performance of the incumbent.
Consolidated emoluments Rs.47,000/- + 24% HRA
