ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The aim of this proposed project is to design and develop a rapid, ultrasensitive, user-friendly and cost effective tool for early and routine detection of K. pneumoniae. We will develop a genome editing CRISPR based diagnostic platform. We will utilize state-of-the-art technologies of many fields including genetic engineering, synthetic biology, microbiology and nanotechnology for the development of paper-based read-outs for ultrasensitive detection of K. pneumonia in order to properly treat it.

Applications are invited for a post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on research project entitled "Development of rapid, effective and ultrasensitive CRISPR based diagnostic tool for detection of Klebsiella pneumonia" funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), Govt. of Gujarat. The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with project.

Details of qualifications, Emolument and duration of the project:

Name of the Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 01 Position

Eligibility 

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. (Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry) with minimum of 55% marks.

Desirable Qualifications:

-Candidate should have strong biological understanding and expertise in genetic engineering, synthetic biology, genome editing, microbiology and bioinformatics are encouraged to apply.

-Publication in above area will be preferred and who is interested to join PhD program.

Age Limit Up to 28 years on closing date of advertisement (Age relaxation will be given as per GSBTM Govt. of Gujarat rules)

Duration 36 Months (3 Year)

Fellowship (As per 18,720 for first two year and 21,840 for third year GSBTM norm)
