One Research Associate position is available under the ICMR-funded project “Development of precision antimicrobial therapy through identification of virulence factor targets conferring maximum fitness loss” at ICMR-National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases, P-33 CIT Road Scheme XM, Beliaghata, Kolkata 700010 under Dr Santasabuj Das, Scientist F.
Qualifications:
Essential:
PhD in Bioinformatics or PhD in Life Sciences with Bioinformatics/Computational Biology as the thesis topic from a University or Institute recognized by UGC (At least provisional degree certificate is required).
Expertise in using R and any one programming language (Perl or Python) is essential.
Desirable:
1. Experience in genomics data analysis using state-of-the-art statistical and machine learning techniques (SVM, random forests, and neural networks)
2. Knowledge in evolutionary genomics, protein modelling, and simulation.
3. Experience in using bioinformatics tools like PAML, MEGA, and CHARMM or GROMACS.
