relevant work experience for the following positions purely on temporary and contractual
basis under the funded project titled “National Facility for Gene Function in Health and
Disease” (Proj. code: 30815226) funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India:

Experience
Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science / Equivalent
qualification with relevant specialization with first
class or equivalent grade (6.5 on 10 point scale or
60% marks) and consistent academic record with
minimum 5 years’ experience in experimental work
using laboratory animal models and in lab animal
breeding.
Preference Candidates with experience in rodent surgeries, lab
animal breeding and management especially of rodents
and immune-compromised animals will be preferred.
Job requirement The incumbent is expected to oversee experiments
involving transgenic and knockout lines and also work
along with the team of faculty in the various scientific
research projects at the Institute. The incumbent is also
expected to be involved in day-to-day function of the
Animal House Facility.
Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further
period subject to satisfactory performance of the
incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments Rs. 1,10,000/- per month

Job requirement The incumbent is expected to assist in Animal facility
routine documentation (Report preparations,
management of records, assets and other routine
activities of the facility).

Consolidated emoluments Rs. 17,510/- per month
