Recruitment of Research Personnel

The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, in the field of wildlife research, teaching and training. The Institute invites applications from the Indian nationals for the following research positions, through a written test followed by Interview(s). UGC/CSIR NET/GATE qualified candidates will be called directly for interview. Details of the positions along with essential and desirable qualifications, brief description of work are given in Annexure-1. Age criteria and monthly fellowship of the advertised positions are as follows:

6. Forensic Researcher 01 30 years Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (as admissible) 
7. Project Fellow (Ecology) 01 35 years Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (as admissible) 
8. Research Assistant 01 28 years Rs. 22,000/- consolidated 
9. Project Assistant 05 28 years Rs. 20,000/- + HRA (as admissible) 

1. Age as on 1 st December 2019, 
2. Upper age limit may be relaxed upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically challenged category. Syllabus Common Entrance Test would be based on three parts 

(i) General research aptitude methodology. 
(ii) Subject knowledge on the syllabi of Masters’ course in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Social Science/ Sociology/ Economics/ Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Management/ Biodiversity Conservation/ Geoinformatics/ Ecology/ Environment & Sustainable Development/ Statistics/ Anthropology/ Wildlife Biology/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Animal Genetics (iii) Essay on conservation issues. 

Online submission of application will be allowed on the website up to 23:59 hrs on 13.02.2020 and the online exam will be conducted on 23.02.2020 on the chosen centers.
