Junior research fellowship at the Institute of Bioinformatics, Bangalore to work on funded projects on neurological disorders

Applications are invited from talented and passionate candidates to work on several next generation sequencing (NGS)-based research studies as well as proteomic studies and pursue their Ph.D. at the Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB) in Bangalore (http://www.ibioinformatics.org). The selected candidates will be enrolled for their Ph.D. at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal. Candidates who has secured fellowships from the State/Central Government agencies such as BINC, CSIR-UGC, DBT and DST-INSPIRE will be preferred.

Monthly Fellowship:31,000 + 24% HRA

Qualifications: M.Sc in any discipline of Life Sciences with minimum 60% marks and must be qualified with any of CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/UGC-JRF/GATE examinations or M.Tech in Biotechnology with minimum of 60% marks secured. Candidates with experience in DNA/RNA isolation, RT-PCR, Western blot and/or cell culture are preferred.

Monthly Fellowship: 31,000 + 24% HRA

Qualifications: M.Sc in Bioinformatics with minimum 60% marks and must be qualified with any of CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/UGC-JRF/GATE examinations or M.Tech in Bioinformatics with minimum of 60% marks secured. Candidates with experience in using Linux operating system and writing programs in Python/Perl/R is required. Candidates with experience in PHP or other web technologies, MySQL, statistics and NGS data analysis are preferred.
