Applications are invited on the prescribed form alongwith the application fee of Rs. 200/- in shape of Bank Draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. alongwith attested copies of certificates for these positions in differents projects as given below:
  1. One of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs.25000/- p.m. + 20% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.28000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd 4th & 5th year (Un-Revised) in the Project entitled “Improvement of end use quality of 1BL/1RS translocation containing wheat varieties by removing of Sec I loci and retaining Glu-B3 using marker assisted back cross breeding (MABB), CSS-03 (PC-6177)”
For the position of JRF @ Rs.25000/- p.m. + 20% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.28000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd 4th & 5th Year
  1. B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
  2. M.Sc. in Biological Sciences /Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Molecular Genetics/ Bioinformatics/ Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Plant Breeding and Genetics with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
Note-I: The candidates who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II: Candidate enrolled in Ph.D Biotechnology will be preferred.
  1. One of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs.25000/- p.m. + 20% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.28000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd year in the Project entitled "Whole genome and transcriptome sequence based SSR and SNP markers development in guava (Psidium guajava L.) for linkage mapping and trait association” CSS-19 (PC-6276).
For the position of JRF @ Rs.25000/- p.m. + 20% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.28000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd year
  1. B.Sc. Biotechnology/ Agriculture/ Life sciences/ B.Tech (Biotechnology) with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
  2. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Molecular Genetics/ Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Biological Sciences/ M.Tech (Biotechnology) with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
Note-I: The candidates who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II: The candidate have passed NET/GATE exam. Candidate enrolled in Ph.D Biotechnology will be preferred.
  1. One position of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs 31,000/- + HRA 16% per month in the Project entitled “Marker assisted introgression of genetic male sterility ms-1 Gene in muskmelon genotype” CSS-99 (PC-6308).
Qualifications for the post of Junior Research Fellow.
  1. B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
  2. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Molecular Genetics/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Life Sciences with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
Note-I: The candidates who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II: The candidate have passed NET/ GATE exam.
  1. One position of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs 31,000/- + HRA 16% per month in the Project entitled “Pyramiding of genes contributing to the resistance to Brown Plant Hopper (Biotype 4) in rice” CSS-97 (PC-6307).
Qualifications for the post of Junior Research Fellow.
  1. B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
  2. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Molecular Genetics/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Life Sciences with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
Note-I: The candidates who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II: The candidate have passed NET/ GATE exam.
  1. One post of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs. 25000/- per month + 20% HRA in the project “Whole genome sequence based SSR marker development and their utilization in mapping of bittergourd yellow mosaic virus resistance in bittergorud ( Momordica charantia L.)’’CSS-15 (PC-6261)
Junior Research Fellow @ Rs. 25,000/-pm + 20% HRA
  1. B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
  2. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Molecular Genetics/Plant Breeding and Genetics with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks with NET/NET-LS/GATE cleared.
The last date for the receipt of applications (duly completed in all respects) in this office is 14/01/2020. Incomplete applications or unsupported by the requisite documents will not be entertained. The candidate should appear for interview on 16/01/2020 at 10.00 a.m onward in the office of the undersigned. No separate information for interview will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
