13th Workshop
on Science Writing
2–9 May 2020, Chennai
Current Science is organizing a training workshop on science writing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu for the
benefit of scientists, researchers and science faculty. Sathyabama Institute of Science and
Technology will be hosting this eight-day workshop from 2 to 9 May 2020.
The workshop aims to enhance the capacity of scientists and researchers to write different types of
scientific articles, reviews, grant applications and project reports.
Indian citizens with a Ph.D. degree in any branch of science or at least two scientific papers in peer reviewed journals may apply. Applications are invited from interested faculty in Indian universities and
scientists in Indian research institutes.
To facilitate skill building, the intensive eight-day workshop will be complemented by an extensive
virtual online workshop, feedback and mentoring. Active participation in online interactions, especially
before the workshop, is compulsory.
Only 14 persons will be selected for the workshop to allow group discussions, interpersonal
interactions and hands-on training. Arrangements will be made for the boarding and lodging of the
participants selected.
Registration fee
Rs 10,000 (to be paid on selection) includes accommodation, food and workshop expenses.
