One Project Associate position is available in a Government of Karnataka funded project at Center for Climate Change, Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute (EMPRI), Bengaluru. The selected Project Associate will work on different bee species from Karnataka. The project would be dealing with the following components database preparation, bee behavior studies, GIS: distribution and ENM studies, camera monitoring of bees w.r.t climate change etc.
Prior knowledge of handling honey bees and excellent observational skills for long hours is required. They should know about these skills. Apply only if you have acquired these skills. The ideal applicant will also be familiar with basic statistics and possess good analytical and report writing skills with at least 1-2 years of prior working experience and interest in the relevant field. Applicants for the position should have a Masters’ Degree in a relevant field – Entomology/Zoology/Apiculture/GIS. The salary will be around 22000 /- as per the institute norms. The candidate will be under probation period / contract period initially and if the performance is found satisfactory will be continued.
