Applications are invited to attend Interview (in-person/ online through video conferencing) will be held for recruitment of the two positions of (one) JRF/SRF and one SRF/Project Associate I in the Division of Plant Pathology purely on contractual basis under SERB-DST funded IARITERI collaborative research project “Molecular breeding to develop resistance against anthracnose (fruit rot) in chilli” (upto Feb 2023) and DBT funded NBPGR-IARI collaborative research project “Leveraging genetic resources for accelerated genetic improvement of Linseed using comprehensive genomics and phenotyping approaches”(upto Feb 2025), respectively. The positions are of temporary nature and co-terminus with the project. 

Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, candidates may choose for interview either inperson or through online process. The eligible candidates (appearing in-person as well as online mode) are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with scanned copy of the original documents through email to Lakshman.Prasad@icar.gov.in with a copy to laxmanprasad25@yahoo.com by June 10, 2020 or till positions filled. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed for further details regarding interview by email or over phone. Original documents of the candidates appearing interview in-person will be verified on the interview date and for the candidates appearing online interview will be verified at a later stage. 

JRF 

Rs. 31000 p.m. +24% HRA 

Molecular breeding to develop ………….. in chilli” Post graduate degree in basic science or in professional courses (Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/Genetics/Botany or other related fields of plant sciences) selected through a process described through any norms given in DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30-01-2019 i.e Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE The selection process through national level exam conducted by Central government departments and their agencies and institute such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. 

Desirable experience in pathological and biochemical techniques. 

Project Associate-I /JRF 

Rs. 31000 pm +24% HRA for Project Assoc-I & 31000/ + 24% HRA for first two years and Rs35000/- + 24%HRA from 3 rd year (for JRF) 

Leveraging genetic resources for accelerated genetic improveme nt of Linseed using……. approaches . Post graduate degree in basic science or post graduate degree in professional courses (Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/Genetics/ Botany or other related fields of plant sciences) (DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z05/2019 dated 21-08-2019). 

Desirable experience in pathological and molecular techniques Upper age limit: 35 years
