Applicants should have Masters Degree in the concerned discipline with NET qualification.
In the absence of candidates with NET, candidates having M.Sc. Degree in the concerned
discipline will also be considered.
Candidates with PhD and Research/Teaching experiences are more preferred.
*. For Agricultural Meteorology, in the absence of candidates having post graduate
qualification in Agricultural Meteorology, candidates having post graduate qualification in
Agronomy will also be considered.
*. For Plant Breeding and Genetics, in the absence of candidates having post graduate
qualification in Plant Breeding and Genetics, candidates having post graduate qualification
in Seed Technology will also be considered.
*. For Agrostology, if candidate having post graduate qualification is not available,
candidates with post graduate qualification in any other discipline from Agriculture/
Horticulture will also be considered.
Terms & Conditions
i. The appointment will be purely provisional for a period of one year or till the
appointment of regular hands, whichever comes earlier
ii. The candidate will have no claim in the University other than to receive the
consolidated remuneration attached to the post. The appointment will not confer on him/her
any right of permanency or regularisation in KAU.
iii. Age: Maximum age should not be above 40 years as on 01.01.2020. Age relaxation
as per existing Government rules will be granted to eligible candidates.
iv. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
v. An agreement in the prescribed form will be executed by the candidate in Stamp
paper worth Rs. 200/-, if selected for appointment.
vi. The candidate, if selected will discharge all such duties that are attached to the post
as per KAU Act/Statutes/Regulation & Rules and that may be assigned to him/her from time
to time by the Head of Institution/Departments.
vii. The University has the right to terminate the service of temporary appointment if the
performance is found unsatisfactory or any such defects noticed.

There is no need to send the hard copy of the application or any other document.
Interview
Interested candidates who applied online are requested to appear for a walk-in-interview as
per the following schedule with filled-in application (in attached word format), containing
self attested copies for proof of age, caste, qualification and experience. Original certificates
should be produced for verification.
The date of Walk-in-interview will be informed to the candidates through e-mail
only.
If there are more number of applicants a written test will be conducted and candidates
shortlisted.
Regional Agricultural Research Station is located at the Payyannur-Nileshwaram National
Highway.
