Applications are invited for a position (01) of Project Assistant in a ICMR-funded multiinstitution Project: “An investigational study on Mycobacteriophages and their enzymes as new
drugs (IND) for treating tuberculosis”
Essential Qualifications for the post: Master’s degree in Biomedical
Science/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or related subjects with minimum 60% or above marks.
Desirable Experience: Practical knowledge of basic microbiological techniques, handling of
Mycobacterium, protein purification, recombinant DNA technology, enzyme assay & kinetics
and basic understanding of bioinformatics tools for genome analysis. NET/GATE qualified
candidate and those with prior experience in the desired skills will be given preference.
Age limit: Upper age limit 30 years (as on the date of interview). Age relaxation admissible for
SC/ST/OBC and women candidates as per ICMR guidelines.
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- per month (Consolidated).
Duration: Initially for one year and extendable till the completion of the project on yearly basis
subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate. Fellowship is co-terminus with the project
(October, 2022).

PhD program with University of Delhi.
