Applications are invited for the following purely temporary post in the DBT funded project entitled "Genomic Resources for Mulberry: Indian Mulberry Nuclear Genome Sequencingat School of Computational & Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Junior/Senior Research Fellow (one post): M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology or other related field with NET/GATE qualification. The candidates with minimum two years of research experience after completion of M.Sc. degree or equivalent as above may be considered for the SRF position. Good computer skills (Linux, Perl, Java, Python, MySQL etc.), along with proven experience in NGS data analysis and/or bioinformatics is highly desirable.

The fellowship will be as per sanction in the project and/or as per DBT rules. The initial appointment may be for six monthsor as per recommendation of the selection committee, which can be extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on the qualification/experience depending on the total number of applications received. JNU may select candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.
