Online interview Applications are invited to attend Online Interview in different ICAR funded projectsat division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12, as mentioned below.

The posts are purely on contractual basis. Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the e-mail addresses geneticsbmgf@gmail.com as given below latest by September 8th, 2020 5 PM.After screening the applications, the top twentyeligible candidates meeting the essential and desirable qualifications will be informed aboutthe details of online interview by email. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected. 

1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) 

ICARBMGF Project entitled: “Application of NextGeneration Breeding, Genotyping, and Digitalizatio n Approaches for Improving the Genetic Gain in Indian Staple Crops” Rice: 

Rs 31000 + 24% HRA (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn.6/27/2014-HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019) 

Essential: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Seed Science/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences with specialization in plant sciences as evidenced by dissertation work/Biotechnology with specialization in plant sciences with 4years bachelor’s degree.Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification orequivalent orPh.D./ M.Tech in any of the above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019) 

Desirable: Experience in molecular marker techniques and Rice breeding

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) 

ICARBMGF Project entitled: “Application of Next - Generation Breeding, Genotyping, and Digitalizatio n Approaches for Improving the Genetic Gain in Indian Staple Crops” 

Rs 31000 + 24% HRA (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019) 

Essential: Master’s degree in Agriculture with specialization in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding / Seed Science and technology /M.Tech in any of above disciplines or PhD in Life Sciences with specialization in plant sciences as evidenced by dissertation work. (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn.6/27/2014 - HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019) 

Desirable: 
1. Minimum two years’ experience in maize breeding 
2. Knowledge of molecular tools and techniques and computer skills

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) 

ICAR - BMGF Project entitled: “Application of Next - Generation Breeding, Genotyping, and Digitalizatio n Approaches for Improving the Genetic Gain in Indian Staple Crops” 

Essential: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Seed Science/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences with specialization in plant sciences as evidenced by dissertation work/Biotechnology with specialization in plant sciences with 4years bachelor’s degree.Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification orequivalent or Ph.D./ M.Tech in any of the above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014 - HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019) 

Desirable: 
 Experience in molecular techniques and computer skills 
 The project involves movement to various parts of India where the experiments are being conducted, hence the incumbent should be able to travel independently to experiment sites. 
 Basically field experiments are involved including data collection, crossing and harvest and post - harvest operations which the incumbent needs to carry out in field

Essential: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Seed Science/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences with specialization in plant sciences as evidenced by dissertation work/Biotechnology with specialization in plant sciences with 4years bachelor’s degree.
