Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is a premier autonomous
Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of
India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.
Institute invites applications from Indian nationals having excellent academic record for
the following position purely on temporary and contractual basis under the funded project:
Research Associate (RA)
Project “Dispersal evolution in laboratory populations of
Drosophila melanogaster under low nutrition conditions”.

Minimum Educational
Qualification & Experience
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or equivalent discipline
dealing with evolutionary questions during their Ph.D.
The candidate must have experience in wet-lab work
related to evolutionary questions in the context of the
Drosophila system.
Preference Candidate well-versed in at least one computer language
and capable of writing code for conducting evolutionary
simulations will be preferred.
Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of five months extendable for further
period subject to satisfactory performance of the
incumbent and continuation of the project
Consolidated emoluments Rs. 47,000/- + 24% HRA per month
Age Not more than 35 years as on date of Interviews.
