A walk-in-Interview will be held on 10/11/2020 at 10.30 A.M. in the Department of Molecular Biology and
Biotechnology, Tezpur University for One (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow in the DST-SERB
sponsored research project entitled “In vitro studies to investigate the therapeutic approach of editing the defective
exon 3 of the human CHST6 gene associated with Macular Corneal Dystrophy through the CRISPR-Cas9
technology” under the Principal Investigator Dr. Surya Prakash Goud Ponnam, Department of Molecular Biology
and Biotechnology, Tezpur University, Napaam, Assam.
Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Human Genetics / Life sciences / Zoology / Biochemistry or allied
Sciences or M.E./M.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks
or equivalent CGPA in aggregate and qualified NET/GATE/BET/ICMR-JRF entrance examinations or similar
examination.
Desirable: Candidate having prior research experience in the field of “Genome editing” or handling mammalian
cell cultures is preferable.
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month.
Duration: Up to 25/03/2022 or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.
Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age as on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed
as per the Government of India Rules.

from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), certificate of NET/GATE/BET/ICMRJRF or similar examination, experience certificate (if any), a recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and two recent
passport size photographs on the day of interview.
N.B. (1) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(2) Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned
employer / Ph.D. Supervisor.
(3) Under special circumstances, interview through video conferencing mode may be considered.
