Walk in interview on 22.02.2021 at 03.30 pm 

Applications are invited for a position of JRF/SRF/RA, in a National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) sponsored Senior Scientist Platinum Jubilee fellowship project entitled “Revision and reassessment of lichenized genus Porina Ach from India and preparation of an identification manual of macro lichens of Arunachal Pradesh” under Dr. K.P. Singh, NASI Senior Scientist, Botanical Survey of India, Allahabad. 

Qualification: M.Sc. degree in Botany or Plant Science with minimum 55% marks for general and OBC (50% for SC/ST candidates) categories of candidates from any recognized university and CSIR/UGC NET qualification. 
For SRF same as above with two years of research experience in plant collection and identification. Basic knowledge in computer applications will be preferred. 
For R.A.(Research Associate), Ph.D. in botany or plant Science (taxonomy of lichens, algae, fungi, bryophytes, pteridophytes, and angiosperms) with good records or 2-3 years research experience and publication in science citation (SC) indexed journal and experience in taxonomy is required. 

Tenure: upto 30th Jan. 2022. Age limit: Below 28 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. For SRF below 32 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. For R.A. below 40 years (female) and 35 years (male). Relaxation may be given by the selection committee,if requered. 

Desirable: An experience in fungal taxonomy (both lichenized or non lichenized) and computer applications. 

Fellowship: Consolidated Rs. 25000/- p.m.(JRF); Rs. 28000/- p.m.(SRF); Rs. 36000,38000,40000/- p.m (R.A.). according to experience + admissible HRA as per rules. If, Govt. accommodation is provided/available, no HRA will be paid. Fellowship amount will be paid only after receiving the funds from NASI authorities. 

Note: No T.A. is admissible for attending walk in interview on 22.02. 2021 and selected candidate will have no right for appointment in any BSI or funding agency posts. All rules and regulations of host institution will be applicable for the fellowship at working place.
