PU CHANDIGARH JRF Vacancy for Indo-UK International Joint Collaborative research project

Applications are invited by post/e-mail for One post of JRF under the 'Indo-UK International Joint Collaborative research project' entitled “SELECTAR: Selection for antimicrobial resistance by antimicrobial production waste” sanctioned for 3 years (16.12.2020 to 15.12.2023) to the undersigned. The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The appointment will be governed by rules of the University. The appointment will be made for one year and is extendable to two more years, subject to availability of funds. 

Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or allied sciences with at least 60% marks for GN/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized University/ Institute. The applicant should have cleared National Eligibility Test qualification such as UGC-CSIR-NET/ GATE/ DBT-BET or an equivalent test recognized by DBT/DST, India. 

Desirable: Prior laboratory experience in microbiological techniques, molecular biology and analytical techniques. 

Emoluments: Rs.31,000/- per month + HRA for 1st& 2nd year and Rs.35,000 pm + HRA for the 3rd year. Job Requirement: To do the experimental work related to the project, compile all results, maintain the Laboratory notebook and all the scientific records pertaining to the project. 

The selection committee reserves the right to downgrade the post to Project Associate-I (M.Sc. without National Eligibility Test qualification) with emoluments :Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA, in case No suitable candidate is found suitable for the post of JRF, during the interview.
