Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow to work on the project entitled ‘’evaluation of biological
activity of anticancer compounds” in Medicinal Chemistry Lab, Department of Chemical Sciences (DCS), TIFR, Mumbai.
Essential:
M.Sc. in Biology with minimum
60% marks. OR B.E./B.Tech. in
Biotechnology with minimum
60% marks.
GATE or NET qualification is
required at the time of joining. If
you have given either of these
exams and results are awaited,
then you can apply.
Desirable: Experience in
mammalian cell culture, MTT
assay, flow cytometry, western
blotting
a. Mammalian cell
culture and in vitro
anticancer studies in
cultured cells.
b. Cell biology assays:
Flowcytometry,
Confocal imaging,
Western blotting etc.
c. Evaluation of
metabolic stabilities of
drugs
Age:
Preferably
below 28
years on
01.01.2021
Appointment as
JRF is
temporary for a
period of one
year with a
possibility of
extension for
one more year.
The Extension is
subjected to
satisfactory
performance
Rs 31,000/-
+ HRA as
admissible
