IARI New Delhi Genetics/Molecular Markers Project Walk INs

Applications are invited to attend Online Interview in DBT and SERB funded projects at Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12, as mentioned below. The posts are purely on contractual basis. Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the concerned PI’s email addresses as given below latest by 11th June, 2021. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be called by email for the online interview which is fixed on 14th June 2021 from 10 A.M onwards. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected. 

1. Name of Projects: Development of high density linkage map and tagging salinity tolerance in lentil using genotyping–by-sequencing approach for improving salt tolerance

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in DBT Funded project One JRF @ Rs. 31000/- + 24% HRA pm for 1st and 2nd year & SRF @ Rs. 35,000/- + 24% HRA for 3 rd year 

Essential: Post graduate degree in basic science or graduate/ post graduate degree in professional courses selected through a process described through any norms given in DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 i.e 

a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE 
b) The selection process through national level exam conducted by Central government departments and their agencies and institute such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER ect. 
c) SRF: Qualification prescribed for JRF with two year of research experience. 

Desirable: Experience in molecular markers and proficiency in computer skills 

2. Name of Projects: Mapping of QTLs for drought tolerance in Mungbean

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB-DST Funded project One JRF @ Rs. 31000/- + 24% HRA pm for 1st and 2nd year & SRF @ Rs. 35,000/- + 24% HRA for 3 rd year 

Post graduate degree in basic science (Life Sciences) or graduate/ post graduate degree in professional courses (Life Sciences including Agricultural Sciences) selected through a process described through any one of the following: 

a.Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. 
b.The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE. DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc, IISER etc. 

Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping. 

3. Name of Projects: Molecular mapping and construction of linkage maps for improving aluminium tolerance and phosphorus acquisition efficiency in lentil for the cultivation in acidic soils of North East Hill States

Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the e-mail address as given below latest by 25/06/2021. Master degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/Life Sciences subject with 4years / 5 years of Bachelor's Degree. Candidates having Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor'sdegree and 2 years Master's degree shouldhave NET qualifications. (As per ICAR Office memorandum No. F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD, Dated 30th July, 2019) 

Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling rice crop. 

Young Professional (YP) One (Rs. 15000/- consolidated/ month) (Consolidate d) (As per ICAR F. No.17 (1)/2013- Estt. IV Dated12/08/2 013) 

Graduate degree in basic science or Diploma holderin engineering/technology. 

Desirable: Experience in handling rice crop. 

2. Name of the project: Improvement of micronutrient bioavailability and storability of mega Basmati ricevariety, Pusa Basmati 1121- SERB funded
