JRF position under DBT funded project

Applications are invited for the position of JRF in the Department of Biological Science at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a DBT sponsored research project titled “Understanding the role of PIM1 kinase in modulating tumor-stroma crosstalk in pancreatic ductal adeno carcinoma (PDAC)”

Principal Investigator: Dr Kumar Nikhil

Broad area of Research: Cancer Biology

Duration of the project: The post is initially for one year and extendable until duration of projects depending upon satisfactory performance.

Emoluments: Candidate with his/her own fellowship (CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, etc.) will be preferred and will be given emoluments as per norm. Selected candidate will get a chance to apply for PhD degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (Rules of PhD program for BITS Pilani are applicable)

Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.

Qualification: M.Sc. Biotechnology or related technical discipline with first class.

Desired Qualification: Candidates should have good knowledge of biochemistry, molecular & cell biology. Experience in animal cell culture, animal handing, techniques of molecular biology & biochemistry will be preferred.
