Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry
of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following Project
position.
Project title: Development of cationic polymers for pest control (Funded by BIRAC)
Name of position: Project Associate-II (01 position)
Fellowship: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA@16%
Essential Qualification: Candidates having M.Sc. /B.Tech. / M. Pharm. / M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Chemistry,
Biotechnology, Life Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Microbiology etc.) with a
minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% for OBC/ST/SC) and having 02 years of research experience are eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to candidates having NET-JRF/NET-LS/GATE qualification. For non-NET/GATE candidates,
guidelines stipulated by DST will be applicable.
Age Limit: The upper age limit of the candidate should be below 35 years as on 09.08.2021. Age relaxation will be given to
the candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Biotechnology, Life Sciences or allied subjects with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% for OBC/ST/SC) are eligible

candidates, guidelines stipulated by DST will be applicable

Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.

Associate-II/ I”. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending
the interview. The decision of the Director regarding selection of candidates will be final and no correspondence will be
entertained in this regard.
