Educational Qualifications:
Senior Research Fellow (Project): M.Sc or M. tech in any branch of Biology/Life Science with
minimum of two years of research experience and two research publications.
The candidate should have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’ as per DST OM dated
30.01.2019.
Candidates with M. Pharm degree and two research publications are also eligible to apply.
Hands on experience in animal handling is a must.
Job description:
SRF -1 Formulation develoment; generating nano and microparticles of antigens along with
adjuvants. Characterization of nano/ micro particles. Mouse immunizations, testing the quality
of immune response generated. Protein Expression and purification.
SRF-2 Mouse Immunization, Characterization of immune responses (quantity and quality of B
and T cell responses). FACS, ELISA, ELISPOT, sporozoite neutralization assays with human
and mouse antibodies. Mouse challenge with malaria parasites. Parasite load determination by
qPCR.
SRF-3 Development of transgenic Plasmodium berghei parasites expressing Plasmodium
falciparum genes. Phenotype analysis of transgenic parasites and growing transgenic
parasites in mosquito, Sporozoite isolation from mosquito, Mouse challenge with transgenic
malaria parasites. Parasite load determination by qPCR.
Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per DST OM dated
30.01.2019 (As sanctioned by the funding agency):
Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 35,000/- per month plus 24% HRA.

Educational Qualifications:
1- Research associate-III: Ph.D in any branch of Biology/Life Science, minimum three years of
research experience post Ph.D.and 5 research publications in international journals.
Demonstrated ability of handling large projects or independent funding/ fellowship. Hands on
experience in animal handling is a must. Persons with expertise in immunological assays or
vaccine related work will be preferred.
2- Technician-I : 10+2 examination passed with Biology as one of the subject plus Diploma in
Medical Technology or B.Sc. in biological sciences.
Minimum two years experience in Handling
mosquitoes. Minimum one year experience in handling small animals (Mouse/ Rat/ Rabbit etc.).
Job description:
RA-III : Mouse Immunization, Characterization of immune responses. FACS, ELISA, ELISPOT,
sporozoite neutralization assays. Mouse challenge with malaria parasites. Parasite load
determination by qPCR. Mouse challenge with transgenic malaria parasites. To ensure timely
completion of research objectives. Coordination among the SRFs work, data collection, analysis
and compilation, Report preparation, Reporting of project progress with PI and other project
partners.
Technician-I (P): Rearing mosquitoes, mosquito infection with malaria parasites, Helping other
researchers with animal or lab work. Helping lab members with stock maintenance, ordering,
repairs etc.
Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per DST OM dated
30.01.2019 (As sanctioned by the funding agency).
RA-III: Rs. 54,000/- per month plus 24% HRA.
Technician-I (P): Rs. 25,000/- per month consolidated.
