CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad (CSIR-CCMB) is a Premier Research Laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), involved in multidisciplinary R&D programmes of both basic and applied nature across scientific disciplines of biological science for economic, environmental and societal benefits of mankind. Online Applications are invited from enthusiastic, young and dynamic Indian researchers having excellent academic record and proven scientific achievements along with requisite experience and a high degree of motivation and desire to take up research as a career in the field of cell and molecular biology, to fill up the vacancy of following posts of scientist as per the details given below: 

Scientist (C 01) 01 – OBC (PwBD-VH)) 

Ph.D. (submitted) in Life Science.

Research experience in genetically modified mice models using gene targeting, genome editing and micromanipulation etc. The candidate is expected to manage research facilities, assist research groups and train research students in their respective operations. 

Senior Scientist (C 02) 01 (Unreserved) 

Ph.D. in Life Science with 2 years of postdoctoral experience in the area of Cell and Developmental Biology. 

Research experience in zebrafish biology and ability to conduct research in the area of Cell and Developmental Biology. The candidate is expected to manage the zebrafish facility, assist research groups and train research students in their respective operations. 

Senior Scientist (C 03) 01 (Unreserved) 

Ph.D. in any area of Life Sciences with 2 years of post- doctoral experience. 

 Demonstrated capability in an academic environment managing research, teaching, student activities and interaction with industry. The candidate is expected to assist the organization in Skill development, Business development and Research grant management. 

Senior Scientist (C 04) 01 (Unreserved) 

Ph.D. in Life Science with 2 years of postdoctoral experience in the area of Cell and Developmental Biology. 

Outstanding and proven research record in the area of muscle repair and maintenance using drosophila as a model system. This position requires the individuals to initiate and establish an independent research programme. 

Candidates must have the capacity to generate and execute new ideas and take them to fruition as well as possess the ability to interact with other research groups and coordinate activities of junior Scientific & Technical staff.

Ph.D. in Life Science with 2 years of postdoctoral experience in the area of Cellular metabolism. 

Outstanding and proven research record in the area of Metabolic basis of cellular specialization in microbes. This position requires the individuals to initiate and establish an independent research programme. Candidates must have the capacity to generate and execute new ideas and take them to fruition as well as possess the ability to interact with other research groups and co-ordinate activities of junior Scientific & Technical staff.

Ph.D. in Life Science with 2 years of postdoctoral experience in the area of Cell and Developmental Biology. Outstanding and proven research record in the area of neuronal development and regeneration. 

This position requires the individuals to initiate and establish an independent research programme. Candidates must have the capacity to generate and execute new ideas and take them to fruition as well as possess the ability to interact with other research groups and co-ordinate activities of junior Scientific & Technical staff. 

Senior Principal Scientist (C 07) 01 (Unreserved) 

Ph. D. in Life Science with 6 years of postdoctoral experience in the area of Structural Biology. 

Experience in working with membrane proteins using Cryogenic Electron Microscopy. This position is meant for individuals who have already established an independent research programme in the area of Structural Biology and guided Ph. D. students. Candidates must have demonstrated the capacity to generate and execute new ideas and taken them to fruition. They must have proven ability to obtain highly competitive grants as well as possess the aptitude to interact with other research groups, co-ordinate activities of junior scientific staff, aid in managing research facilities and participate in human resource development.
