VIT Vellore Peptide Therapeutics JRF Opening


Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) on Department of Biotechnology funded Ramalingaswamy Re-entry Fellowship project , Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular Theranostics [CBCMT]


Title of the Project: Investigation on the Mechanism of Mucoadhesionand Transcytosis of Microglial Exosomes and its Biomimetic Nanoconstructs for Nose-to-Brain Delivery of Peptide Therapeutics.


Duration: 3 years


Qualification: M.Sc., /M. Tech., (Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Nanotechnology) with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference will be given for students with NET and/or GATE qualifications.


Required Skill Set: Candidates with research experience in cell culture, molecular biology and nanomedicine.


Stipend: For NET/GATE Qualified candidates: Rs.31,000/- + 8% HRA per month for the first two years and Rs. 35,000/- + 8% HRA per month for the third year.


For other Candidates: Institutional norms will be applicable.


Sponsoring Agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India.


JRF role and duties: The selected candidate will be required to do full time research in the above specified research project, in particular mammalian Cell culture, nanoparticle characterisation techniques, and small animal studies in the area of neurodegenerative disorders.
