SRM Microbiology/Molecular Biology JRF Vacancy in ICMR Project


JRF Applications are invited for the position of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India sponsored research project titled “Development of Point of care Apta-sensor for Early and Rapid Detection of Leptospirosis” tenable at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu – 603 203, India for 3 years.

Minimum qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biological Science with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA; CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ NET/ GATE qualified candidates will be given preference. Candidates with good academic record, skills in the technique used in biology (microbial Culturing/PCR /qPCR / Prototype development) are desirable.

Registration for Ph.D.: Selected candidates can register for the Ph.D. program at SRM Institute of Science and Technology.

Amount of fellowship: The selected candidate will receive a fixed fellowship of INR. 31,000 + 9% HRA / month in the first two years and Rs 35000 + 9% HRA / month for the third year. Terms and conditions will be followed as per the ICMR guidelines.
